It’s a sacred journey when you start zig-zagging up mountains, planning your route, making sure all equipment is in check, and we are here to help along the way. Be it your first ventures into this new world of Backcountry Touring, or you’re a seasoned veteran looking for local advice, we are here for you!

Here at the Sacred Ride, you shall find anything and everything you need before you plan or head out into the Backcountry. Whether it’s because you forgot your Map, can’t find your skins or need to upgrade your beacon, we’re here to help and assist to make sure your experience will be a safe and unforgettable one. What makes The Sacred Ride so special you might be wondering?!

We’ve been wondering the Kootenay Mountain Ranges for well over 35 years, and been established in Nelson BC for 25years. That’s a lot of sweating going up n down mountains I tell ya!! At the shop, we’re a bunch of mixed snowboard and skiing enthusiasts that have been chasing pristine snow all over BC, acquiring precious knowledge and experience along the journey. We truly understand individual’s requirements, and stock our shop with all that you may need. Got you covered tip to tail as we old-timers would say ☺

  • You’re thinking about refreshing your beat-up backcountry skis/snowboards but unsure what to get based on friend’s input and online reviews?! No biggie!! With our demo- before-you-buy program, come try your dream list of gear and find out for yourself which will be THE ONE ☺
  •  Skis/Snowboard didn’t show up because your Airline Carrier is too careless?! Don’t lose sleep over it and come see us!! We do high-end backcountry rentals and resort setups.

We’re also highly flexible with drop-off and pick-up hours, we know everyone’s on a different winter schedule and want to make sure you make the most of it!
